Abstract

1,214,129. Knitting. SCOTT & WILLIAMS Inc. 23 June, 1969 [8 Oct., 1968], No. 31526/ 69. Heading D1K. The tab of.a stocking knitted after a double welt or double twisted toe includes a thermoplastic yarn of melting point above 350‹F and another with a melting point in the range of the boarding temperature viz. 220‹F to 270‹F. When the stocking is boarded the second yarn fuses with the first so that the tab is runresistant. The second yarn may be knit in spaced courses with a backing yarn, and may tuck in alternate wales.
