A hanger for a sliding door, partition, wall or the like which is adjustable vertically and transversely of the door &c includes a longitudinal housing 12 of U-shaped transverse section set home into a recess 11 in the edge face of a door &c panel 10 with its mouth facing outwardly and houses a support lug 14 provided at its upper end with a threaded bolt 25, the threaded portion 26 of which screws into a jib like supporting member 27 carrying one or two bolts 30 30a mounting the carrier rollers 32, 33, which slide along the guide tracks 34 above a housing or shuttering 43. A horizontal suport in 13 welded to the housing 12 supports the weight of the door &c 10. The housing 12 rests at its lower end on a base plate 35 secured against rotation on the housing by claws 35a and the plate 35 is spaced from the bottom of the space 11a by a cross nut 37 screwed on to a pin 36 of the lug 14 and the screw 36 abutting the plate 35. The pin 36 also carries a lock nut 38, both nuts 37, 38 being accessible from the end face of the door. The vertical y1-y2 adjustment of the housing and hence the door in relation to the plug 14 which is supported from the track 34 is effected by the nut 37. The transverse X1-X2 adjustment is effected by loosening the cover 18 held by screws 19, 20 to free serrations 40, 42 of the lug 14 from the serrations 39, 41 on the housing to permit the plug to be adjusted in the transverse direction and the cover screwed home. In a modification, the plug 14 may be hingedly connected to the housing (Fig. 6 not shown).
