Abstract

1,209,088. Plug for pipes. MASSEY-FERGUSON-PERKINS Ltd. 10 April, 1969 [18 April, 1968], No. 18353/68. Heading F2P. [Also in Division F1] A solid or bored end closure 4 for the cylinder 2 of a fluid-operated motor is held in position by a snap-ring 20 which engages a circumferential groove 21 on the inside of the cylinder and a shoulder 22 formed by a reduced diameter portion 23 of the end closure 4. The snap ring 20 is inserted in the groove 21 with a further reduced portion 24 opposite the groove. Thereafter a ring 26 is screwed on to the end closure 4 so that when the ring contacts the end of the cylinder 2 the closure 4 is withdrawn until the shoulder 22 wedges the snap ring into the groove 21.
