Abstract

1,200,049. Stud and socket fastenings. DZUS FASTENER CO. Inc. 19 May, 1969, No. 25461/69. Heading E2B. [Also in Division F2] A stud fastener assembly comprises a headed shank 19, a tubular cup 12 with an opening at each end, one end being flared to engage the periphery of an opening in a supporting panel 10, a spring 23 surrounding the shank and abutting the head 17 of the stud at one end and a washer 21 surrounding the shank at the other end engageable by a rib 22 on the shank between the head and the washer. The stud is rotated to engage helical slots 20 therein with a rod in a receptacle to secure the receptacle to the panel.
