1299042 Casting processes and machines EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY 19 April 1971 [12 March 1970] 23766/71 Heading B3F [Also in Division C7] An alloy consisting of 30-50% tantalum, up to 1% impurities, the balance being nickel, contains fibres or lamellµ of Ni 3 Ta preferably having the same orientation, and may be produced by moving a graphite crucible 6 containing the alloy components 9 either in vacuo or in an inert atmosphere through a heating zone 11, and then through a cooling zone of horizontally disposed water sprays 13.
