Abstract

1298739 Transport containers A BONOMI 10 Nov 1970 [4 Sept 1970] 53396/70 Heading B8P A collapsible container of pressed sheet metal or of wood has side and rear walls hinged to the base and pivoted doors are provided at the front; hooked rods 14 having screwed sleeves at their centre stiffen the erected container and when collapsed shorter rods 16 fix the cover 10 to the base to form a compact unit for return when empty. In a modification the cover 10 may be replaced by two leaves 30. All junctions between the base, sides, end wall and doors are sealed by airtight gaskets. The walls may be of corrugated metal and the floor may have a lining thereon. The cover may be located on upstanding pins (11 Fig. 12) on the top of the sides.
