Abstract
1297348 Aminoindane sulphonic acids VYZKUMNY USTAV ORGANICKYCH SYNTEZ 29 April 1971 [30 April 1970] 12117/71 Headng C2C The invention comprises aminoindane sulphonic acids of the general formula in which X is hydrogen, alkyl or alkoxy and the -SO 3 H group is ortho- or parato the amino group. They may be prepared by heating a hydrogen sulphate or hydrogen chlorosulphate salt of an aminoindane to 150-280‹ C. The hydrogen sulphate or hydrogen chlorosulphate is preferably prepared by reacting an aminoindane of general formula with sulphonic or chlorosulphonic acid. Examples are given of the preparation of (a) 4- aminoindane-7-sulphonic acid; (b) 5-amino indane-6-sulphonic acid; and (c) 5-aminoindane-6-sulphonic acid.
