Abstract

1296111 Valves KRAFTWERK UNION AG 26 Feb 1970 9457/70 Heading F2V A valve for cooling superheated steam comprises a sleeve 1 providing a seat 24 and throttling channels 23, and chambers 4, 9 in the sleeve connected by ducts 2, 3 to a cooling water supply. An annular nozzle 22 permits the cooling water to communicate with the steam outlet. Pin 12 holds the sleeve against rotation, and protuberance 13 engages an annular groove 14 to locate the sleeve axially when it is drawn down by gland nut 18.
