1296178 Perfumes INTERNATIONAL FLAVORS & FRAGRANCES Inc 19 April 1971 [14 May 1970] 25335/71 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] The ester product of longifolene of formula: and formic acid may be used as an olfactory agent in perfume compositions. The compositions may also contain natural and synthetic perfume oils, alcohols, ketones, esters, lactones, aldehydes, ethers, anthranilates, acetals, terpenes, carboxylid acids, aromatic hydroxy compounds, diphyenyls and various musks. They may be used in detergents, bath oils, hair preparations and cosmetic preparations. An Example (No. 1) is given of a perfume composition containing the ester.
