Abstract

1293455 Belt fasteners ISAAC JACKSON (FASTENERS) Ltd 7 May 1971 [11 March 1970] 11728/40 Heading F2Q In a belt fastener comprising a plurality of pairs of plates 1 which bridge the belt ends A, B and are drawn together by means of studs 4 and nuts 5, a flexible pin P made of high tensile material is located between the belt ends and terminates short of the belt edges. The ends of the belt are chamfered and the pin P is laid in the groove created by these chamfers. The plates 1 are provided with pairs of teeth 3 and countersunk recesses for receiving frusto-conical heads of the studs 4 and the nuts 5. Radial lugs 6 prevent rotation of the nuts 5.
