Abstract

1293077 Razors PHILIP MORRIS Inc 25 S pt 1970 [29 Sept 1969] 45718/70 Heading B4B A razor, intended to be completely disposable, comprises a flexible band blade 18 connected to a supply spool 15 and take-up spool 16 both rotatable on a frame 10 which is mounted in a casing 11 by means of interengaging lugs. The casing 11 is formed with side flanges 63, 64, Fig. 5, and flanges 61, 62. The flanges 63, 64 are provided with lugs 73, 74, 75, 76 which engage in corresponding notches formed in the frame 10 when this is assembled into the casing; a flange 60 on the frame engages between the flanges 61, 62. A bridge member 13, Fig. 2, made of spring- steel, mounted in the frame and formed with portion 83 serving as a guard, the bridge member having raised dimples which are acted on by cam surfaces 87 on a knob 14 in order to vary the distance between the guard and the cutting edge. A sheet-metal cover-plate 12 is clipped over projections 101, 104 formed on the casing; the casing and frame are made of plastics material. An end of the blade is secured in the supply spool 16 by means of locking members 132<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 9, being pressed into a correspondinglyshaped recess 133 formed in the spool. A similar fixing means is provided for the other end of the blade in the take-up spool.
