Abstract
1288391 Transistor monostable circuits MARCONI CO Ltd 17 Nov 1969 [19 Feb 1969] 8939/69 Heading H3T A monostable consists of a cross coupled bistable pair of FET's G2, G3, with G3 normally held conductive by means such as a F.E.T. M4 which is normally held on by R3 but which is turned off when an input TN 1 turns on means such as a F.E.T. M5 to short out a capacitor C, this allowing the said IN 1 to turn on a F.E.T. M1 and change the state of the bi-stable. The new state of the bi-stable is maintained while the input IN 1 lasts, and continues after the end of IN 1 for as long as C takes to charge again sufficiently to turn on M4. A differentiated input may be obtained from IN 2 . The monostable is said to have a much faster recovery time than what is said to be the known monostable of Fig. 2 (not shown) in which two F.E.T.'s (M2, M3) are cross-coupled by one direct path and one capacitor path (C1), triggering being effected by turning on a F.E.T. (M1) connected in parallel with the normally off F.E.T. (M2).
