Abstract
1288169 Electromedical apparatus A HUBER 15 July 1971 [16 July 1970] 33322/71 Heading G1N A device for monitoring the pulse rate of a sportsman includes an elastic belt 4 for attaching three electrodes 3 and a casing 1 to the body, the casing containing a first detector responsive to the signal on the electrodes to provide a signal when the pulse rate reaches an adjustable upper threshold level, a second detector for providing another signal when the pulse rate falls to an adjustable lower threshold level, and an acoustical and/or optical device responsive to these signals. As shown, the detectors each include a monostable multi-vibrator 24, 25 having adjustable reset times (by means of knobs 6, 7), the outputs of the multi-vibrators being connected to logic circuitry 26, 27, 28 which operates an acoustic frequency generator 30 provided with a speaker 5.
