Abstract
1287021 Limiters C & E BRADLEY Ltd 19 April 1971 [13 April 1970] 17526/70 Heading H3T An attenuator, the attenuation of which increases for signals above a given level, comprises a pair of input terminals 11, 12 and output terminals 13, 14, the terminals 11, 13 being interconnected by means of a first impedance, comprising resistor 16 shunted by capacitor 15, and the output terminals 13, 14 having connected across them a second impedance, comprising resistor 18 shunted by capacitor 17. Also shunted across the output terminals 13, 14 is a series circuit comprising a third impedance, i.e. resistor 22 shunted by capacitor 21, in series with reversely connected diodes 19, 20 which may comprise Zener diodes. The arrangement may be modified for a balanced circuit by connecting a further impedance, identical with the impedance 15, 16 in series between the terminals 12, 14.
