Abstract

1286019 Resilient mountings H BAUS 30 Nov 1970 [1 Dec 1969] 56748/70 Heading F2S [Also in Division H2] A motor 10 is resiliently mounted in a housing (not shown) by two identical springs, each comprising a ring portion 2 attached to the housing and two semicircular arms 4, 16 integrally cantilevered from the ring portion and attached at their "free" ends 6, 12 to the motor. The springs are injection moulded from a thermoplastics material. The arms 4, 16 have an L-shaped cross-section and the free-ends carry projections 8 which engage in recesses in the motor. The radial width of the arms decreases from the cantilevered to the free end, and the thickness may also decrease.
