Abstract

1284104 Loading and unloading bales SPERRY RAND CORP 24 Aug 1969 [26 Aug 1968 29 May 1969] 42216/69 Heading B8E The load bed 250 of a bale wagon has a rolling rack 300 for discharging tiers of bales on to a transfer table 200 and, to ensure that the last tier will fall on to the table 200, cam members 344 on the bed 250 are arranged to engage rollers 346 provided on rack 300. This causes the rack, when it approaches the limit of its forward travel, to tip to the position shown in Fig. 4 and to so shift the centre of gravity of the tier that the tier falls on to the table 200. An endless conveyer 350 discharges the bales laterally of the table.
