1283807 N - (3<SP>1</SP>,4<SP>1</SP>- Dichlorophenyl) - 3 - [N<SP>1</SP>- (3<SP>11</SP>,4<SP>11</SP> - dichlorophenyl) carbamoyl] - methyl - 2,2 - dimethylcyclobutanecarboxamide ALLIED CHEMICAL CORP 2 Dec 1970 57281/70 Heading C2C The invention comprises N-(3<SP>1</SP>,4<SP>1</SP>-dichlorophenyl) - 3 - [N<SP>1</SP> - -(3<SP>11</SP>,4<SP>11</SP> - dichlorophenyl)- carbamoyl] methyl - 2,2 - dimethylcyclobutanecarboxamide of formula It may be prepared by reacting 3,4-dichloroaniline with 3-chloroformyl-2,2-dimethylcyclobutaneacetyl chloride in the presence of at least 1 mol. of base per mol. of dichloroaniline. Suitable bases are, for example, pyridine and other tertiary amines. The compound may be used in association with a carrier or diluent as a chemosterilant composition and the composition may contain in addition an insecticide, another chemosterilant or an insect sex attractant.
