1279859 Culturing viruses TWYFORD LABORATORIES Ltd 13 Nov 1970 [21 Aug 1969] 41823/69 Heading A5B [Also in Division C6] A process for obtaining viruses (e.g. influenza, para-influenza and sheep-pox virus) comprises contacting embryonated eggs or tissue culture systems with lipopolysaccharide produced by E. Col; grown under lysine-limiting conditions prior to infection with the virus. The propagated viruses can be used for the preparation of commercial vaccines.
