Abstract
1277777 Tempered phosphates of Fe, Pb, Mg and Zn FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 20 Aug 1969 [20 Aug 1968] 41527/69 Heading C1A [Also in Division C3] A water-glass cement includes as hardener at least one tempered phosphate of zinc, lead, iron or magnesium. The iron phosphate may have been obtained by tempering an acid iron phosphate having a ratio of P 2 O 5 : Fe 2 O 3 in the range of from 1À1 : 1 to 3 : 1 at a temp. in the range 550-900‹ C., preferably 550‹ to 600‹ C., until its weight remains constant. The lead phosphate may have been obtained by tempering an acid lead phosphate having a ratio of P 2 O 5 PbO in the range of from 0À35 : 1 to 1 : 1 at a temp. in the range of from 450‹ to 850‹ C., preferably 450-500‹ C., until its weight remains constant. The zinc phosphate may have been obtained by tempering an acid zinc phosphate having a ratio of P 2 O 5 : ZnO in the range of from 0À35 : 1 to 1 : 1, or a zinc diphosphate having a ratio of P 2 O 5 : ZnO in the range of from 0À5 : 1 to 1 : 1 at a temp. in the range 450‹ to 850‹ C., preferably 500-600‹ C. for the acid phosphate and 450‹ to 550‹ C. for the diphosphate, until their weight remains constant. The magnesium phosphate may have been obtained by tempering an acid magnesium phosphate having a ratio of P 2 O 5 : MgO in the range of from 0À35 1 to 1 : 1 for a period of from about half-an-hour to 3 hours at a temp. in the range 230-300‹ C., preferably 230‹ to 280‹ C. The water glass cement may contain from 1 to 10% by weight of the tempered phosphate.
