1277508 Bearing surfaces KARL SCHMIDT GmbH 1 Dec 1969 [19 Dec 1968] 58629/69 Heading F2A A bearing member has a layer 2 of porous sintered bearing metal which has its pores filled by impregnation with plastics or a mixture of plastics and a second bearing metal, the porous metal layer having grooves 3 in its surface which are filled with plastics or plastics and the second bearing metal. The porous bearing metal may be sintered bronze or iron. The plastics material may be P.T.F.E., an acetal resin, a polyamide or a polyimide and the second bearing metal may be lead, bronze or white metal. A support layer 1 may be provided which is bonded to the porous metal layer.
