Abstract
1276345 Supported olefin polymerization catalyst FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 29 Aug 1969 [31 Aug 1968] 43204/69 Heading C3P Olefins are polymerized in the presence of a catalyst comprising (A) the product obtained by reacting a halogen-containing tetravalent titanium compound with water in the presence of solid substance, and removing unreacted titanium compound and (B) an organoaluminium compound. In examples, ethylene is homopolymerized or copolymerized with butene in the presence of MgO or Mg(OH) 2 -TiCl 4 or TiCl 2 (O-iso-C 3 H 7 ) 2 -H 2 O and Al(C 2 H 5 ) 3 , Al(i- C 4 H 9 ) 3 , (C 2 H 5 ) 2 AlH, or Al 2 Cl 3 (C 2 H 5 ) 3 .
