Abstract
1275505 Sweetened foods. PFIZER Inc 16 April 1970 [2 March 1970] 18312/70 Heading A2B [Also in Division C6] A non-dairy water based food contains a non-nutritive sweetening agent selected from cyclohexylsulphamic acid, saccharin, their salts (e.g. Na or Ca) and mixtures thereof in an amount equivalent in sweetness to 5-20% by weight sucrose in the food and a sodium or potassium salt of citric, adipic, gluconic, fumaric, tartaric, succinic, malic or acetic acid in an amount of 0.05 to 0.5% by wt. The food may be a carbonated or still beverage, syrup composition or jelly. The food may be prepared by adding water to a dry mix comprising the sweetening agent and the salt. Other specified components include lemon oil, orange oil, citric acid, sodium benzoate, phosphoric acid, caffeine, orange and grape juice, sorbitol, pectin and cola, maple and cherry flavours.
