Abstract

1,273,167. Books. MAPPEI-ORGANISATIONSMITTEL G.m.b.H. 3 Dec., 1969 [28 June, 1969], No. 59001/69. Heading B6A. A machine for manufacturing adhesive binder covers comprises a pair of rotatable cover strip magazine rollers 8, 9 arranged on the inlet side of a pair of pressure rollers II and transversely spaced so the strips are in the same plane with a gap between which is bridged by an adhesive strip 15 fed from a further roller 15, and a transverse cutting device 2 arranged after the pair of pressure rollers 11 to cut the joined cover strips into covers. A still further roll 22 transversely adjustable and carrying a protection strip 22 may be provided for use inside the binder. The strip may be longitudinally cut and folded by device 23. When in use as a file the individual strips (36, Fig. 7) may be removed so that letters may be attached to the adhesive strip 15 forming the spine of the binder.
