Abstract

1,271,947. Sashless window. HILL BROS. GLASS CO. 23 July, 1969 [14 Aug., 1968], No. 38901/68. Heading E1J. A window assembly comprises a sheet of unframed toughened glass 14 hinged to a support and engageable with a solid undeflectable sealing strip 13 which is secured to a frame 10. The sealing strip 13 is of rubber or synthetic resin and is mounted in grooves 11 in metal frame 10. The glass is hinged to frame 10 or to support 12 at a vertical or horizontal edge. Arms 15, to support the glass in an open position, are pivoted to a bracket 16 on the glass, and have rollers 18 which run in guides 19. (For Figure see next page)
