Abstract

1,270,804. Coated steel strip. BRITISH STEEL CORP. and DR. BECK & CO. (ENGLAND) Ltd. 17 April, 1969 [6 May, 1968], No. 21403/68. Heading B2E. [Also in Division B5] Steel strip is coated with a solvented curable resin system which is then partially cured by heating to a dry, non-tacky state. The coated strip may be used for making laminates, being fully cured during assembly (see Division B5). The resin may be an epoxy resin with an amine hardener. Resin may be applied by roller and the solvent may be flashed off at 240-300‹C while the strip is travelling. The steel may be electrical steel.
