Abstract

1,270,631. Crown-support carriers. OLINKRAFT Inc. 6 March, 1970 [5 June, 1969], No. 10877/70. Heading B8C. A crown support carrier formed from a single blank (Fig. 1) comprises crown-locking panels 4, 5 foldably connected to crown-cover panels 2, 3 connected via hinges e.g. 6 to a base panel 1 provided with handling holes 26. The crownlocking panels 4, 5 and the base panel 1 have support edges e.g. 28, 13 engaging beneath the crowns e.g. 34 of articles e.g. bottles 35 slid sideways into the corner (Fig. 3), the crown-locking panels 4, 5 engaging in base panel grooves e.g. 22, 23, 24, 25 associated with at least one crown cover on each side i.e. grooves 24, 25 may be absent. The carrier which may be of paperboard or plastics material may be used for packaging articles in a two by one to a two by six arrangement.
