Abstract

1,269,310. Tamper proof closure. GROWTH INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIES CORP. 13 Nov., 1970 [10 Dec., 1969], No. 54090/70. Heading B8T. An integrally moulded closure comprises a base portion 34, an inner skirt 28 connected to an outer skirt 32 having slits 36 by a portion 24. A bead 40, having a cam follower surface 42, engages below a container bead 13. Flexible flanges 70, 72 coact with a flange 74 to effect sealing. Closure removal requires the severing of the free end 38 of the outer skirt 32, thereby forming flexible tabs (52), Fig. 4 (not shown). In a modification, sealing is effected by a gasket (37), Fig. 8 (not shown). The container bead 13 may be rolled. A wire ring (60), Fig. 7 (not shown) may aid closure retaining.
