Abstract

A solderless electrical connection to a contact pin 7, particularly among pins which are close together, is established by impaling a flat strip electrical conductor 2 on the pin. The conductor may have insulation 3. The pin is tapered and may be of circular, square or polygonal crosssection with a point portion of larger angle of taper. When the pin is circular a corrugation 8 may be formed round it by the applying tool. The connection may be improved by welding by passing a current through the pin or with a laser beam.
