Abstract
1,266,582. Clothes airers. AURIOL (GUILDFORD) Ltd. June 19, 1970 [June 19, 1969j, No.31015/69. Heading A4U. A clothes airer comprises a rectangular main frame A, suspension frames A1 formed of rods a<SP>2</SP>, a<SP>4</SP> which are welded together at their upper ends to form suspension hooks a<SP>3</SP> and bent at their lower ends to pivot on extensions of two supporting rails a<SP>1</SP> of the main frame, and end extension frames B pivoted on extensions of supporting rails a<SP>7</SP> of the main frame, the sides b of the extension frames being bent to lie outside the sides of the main frame A and rest on the rails a<SP>1</SP>. The suspension and extension frames can be folded flat on the main frame for transport or storage and are disconnected therefrom, a cap 6 being applied to ends of the rods a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>7</SP> to prevent disconnection when the device is in use. An additional side extension frame C may be pivoted on reinforcing wires a<SP>8</SP> to project to one side of the main frame.
