Abstract

1,264,870. Clamps. ELECTRICAL REMOTE CONTROL CO. Ltd. 26 Nov., 1970 [26 Nov., 1969], No. 57960/69. Heading E2B. [Also in Division H1] A rectangular bezel 2, attached to the front of an instrument 1, has a pivoted handle 5 of which ends 7, provided with cam surfaces 9 and 8, co-operate with corresponding surfaces on the front flange 12 of the instrument housing 11 to press the instrument rearward when the handle is lower and withdraw the instrument when raised to the horizontal position. In the described embodiment this action is employed to insert contacts 13 into sockets 15 mounted at the rear of the instrument and in the rear wall of the housing respectively. Clamping devices 11 secure each side panel against the flange 12. A locking screw may be inserted via hole 19 into hole 20. The front of the instrument, may have controls of the instrument mounted therethrough. The housing may be panel mounted.
