Abstract

1,264,474. Heat insulated containers. MONO CONTAINERS Ltd. 7 March, 1969 [15 March, 1968], No. 12788/68. Heading F4U. [Also in Division A4] At least the inner or outer side wall of a double-walled drinking cup or other container has ribs with a substantial vertical component or bumps distributed over a substantial vertical area so as to engage when telescoped with ribs or bumps on the other side wall, the container or cup being formed from sheet plastics material. The ribs may be formed as diagonals and the receptacles forming the walls are joined at the rim, with the inner receptacle having an upwardly-facing stacking surface for a downwardly-facing stacking surface on the outer receptacle of a nested cup. The ribs or bumps may be formed only on an intermediate portion of the side walls, which portion is more divergent upwards than the remainder of the walls to form a gripping area.
