Abstract
1,262,015. Orienting cops. NUOVA SAN GIORGIO S.p.A. 19 Aug., 1969 [31 Aug., 1968], No. 41385/69. Heading B8S. [Also in Divisions D1-D2J ] In apparatus for orienting tapered cops or spool cores (or cylindrical tubes with an enlargement or ring at or near one end) preparatory to their supply to a textile machine, each cop etc. received from a conveyer (not shown) through a feed port 1 and in the position 2, falls at its narrower end through a central slot in a plate 3<SP>1</SP> (or 3) but the wider end slides down a plate 3 (or 3<SP>1</SP>): as one end leaves plate 3 (or 3<SP>1</SP>) and the cop engages an impact plate 5<SP>1</SP> (or 5) and a bar 4<SP>1</SP> (or 4), it is capsized by the latter, around which it pivots, to fall through outlet 6, always with the wider end leading.
