Abstract

1,205,033. Open end spinning. MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER A.G. 18 Aug., 1967 [24 Aug., 1966], No. 15656/70. Divided out of 1,205,031. Heading DID. In an open end spinning device, wherein a yarn reserve is created between the spinning chamber and the take-up means 27 to be fed back after a yarn break or on stoppage of the machine, the yarn reserve is held in its extended path by a support 24 which can be removed from the yarn while the yarn is in its fully extended path. As shown the support is a solenoid retractable pin 24 which releases the yarn when a drop in tension is sensed by a member 25. The reserve is re-created by a solenoid operated lever 33.
