[Also in Division G1] A device for testing pipes comprises two seals each seal comprising a rod or tube 11 (21), an apertured disc 12 (22) having a flange 13 (23) and a sealing ring 17 (27), a piston 14 (24) sealingly engaging the rod or tube and the flange, and a nut 18 (28). The rods or tubes 11 and 21 are joined by a further rod 10 or by a hawser. Pressurized air introduced into the pipe acts on the discs 12 and 22 to increase the sealing force applied to the sealing rings 17 and 27.
