Abstract

1,261,368. Presses. SMALANDSSTENARS MEKANISKA VERKSTAD AB. 23 April, 1969 [29 April, 1968], No. 20813/69. Heading B5A. A press comprises a C-shaped frame formed of outer and inner parts 2, 3 fixedly interconnected at the bottom but with their upper portions movable to some extent with respect to each other, the outer part 2 carrying the drive and the inner part 3 carrying guides 12 for the press ram 8. Distortion of the guides 12 during use of the press is thus prevented. The press may comprise an eccentric secured to a shaft 11 and driven by an electric motor 9 through a flywheel 10. A press table 7 is connected with the two frame parts 2, 3 which can tilt about journals 4 but are held in place by screws 5 extending through slots 6.
