Abstract

1,255,130. Valves. GUSTAV F. GEROTS K.G. 9 July, 1970 [22 Oct., 1969], No. 33307/70. Heading F2V. In a boiler-emptying valve a closure 3 for the gaseous phase seats in a passage 9 in a closure 2 for the liquid phase. Both closures are actuated against biasing springs 4, 5 by a common shaft 6 bearing on the closure 3 which when fully opened abuts a stop 21 in the closure 2 to thereafter cause actuation of the latter on further movement of the shaft. Inlet and outlet connections 10, 16 for the gaseous phase have a sealed sliding connection with the ends 12, 13 of the passage 9. The connection 10 is on a bell-shaped part 18 which forms a seat 7 for the closure 2 and is secured in an aperture in the boiler bottom 1. A part comprising the outlets 8, 16 for the liquid and gaseous phases respectively is secured to the part 18 or the boiler bottom.
