Abstract

1,253,554. Indicating toner concentration. RICOH K. K. Feb. 14, 1969, No.8056/69. Heading G2H. The concentration of toner in a liquid developing device, forming part of an electro-photographic copying apparatus, is indicated by comparing toner visible in a translucent portion 9 of a tube 6 with a reference indicator having portions 10, 11, 12 of standard, greater and a lesser concentration. A lump 13 illuminates both the translucent portion 9 and the indicator. A push button 21 of a pump 20 is actuated to supply toner from a tank 16 to the developer tank 1.
