A rotary, soil tillage device comprises a mobile frame, a power driven, rotatable, transverse shaft 15 to which a plurality of rotary tillage members 17 are secured, the shaft being rotated in a sense which assists forward motion of the device, and soil erupting members 35, each member being secured to the frame and extending diagonally downwardly and forwardly, through the working sector of the blades, to terminate in a pointed tip 38 below the level of the working blades. As shown soilengaging blades 18, 18a, 19, 19a having portions parallel to the shaft are secured thereto via pairs of mounting discs 16, 16a, the inturned blades on each pair of discs extending towards each other with their adjacent ends a short distance apart. Soil erupting members 35 are adjustably secured to the frame 10 and pass between the blade and terminate in chisel tip wear plates 38. A shield 28 may be adjustably mounted at the rear of the unit. The depth below the ground of both tilling blades and erupters may be adjusted by a hand jack 27 which opeartes on the wheel mounting arms 23, which, in turn, pivot on transverse frame member 13. As the unit is moved forward, the ground ahead of the tillers is emptied into the path of the blades and is subsequently broken down by them, any trash which collects on the emptying members being torn loose by the rotating blades adjacent the members.
