Abstract

1,248,357. Suction cleaners. PROGRESSELEKTROGERATE MAUZ AND PFEIFFER. April 3, 1970 [April 5, 1969], No. 15860/70. Heading A4F. A motor driven cleaning tool 5, e.g. a rotary beater and/or brush roller, in a suction cleaner is detachably supported between arms 10, 12 by plug couplings, at least one of which is movable axially of the tool 5 to permit its removal and replacement. In the illustrated embodiment the arm 12 is resilient so that it may be bent to disengage the coupling 13 carried thereby from the tool 5. The other plug coupling carries a driving pulley for the tool 5. The cover 14 of the cleaner housing 1 and the arms 10, 12 may be pivoted upwardly as shown to render the tool 5 accessible for removal.
