Abstract

1,245,776. Stoppering &c. AMERICAN FLANGE & MFG. CO. Inc. 24 Sept., 1968 [3 Oct., 1967], No. 45310/68. Heading B8T. A tool for inserting plug-type closures into container openings, comprises lever 1 terminating in a hand grip portion 2, an upwardly open concave surface 4 which is designed to engage a handle 14 of the container 12, and a foot 5 designed to engage the closure means 20 when loosely placed in the opening. Using the container handle as a fulcrum, the lever is pressed downwardly at 2 so forcing the closure into the opening 16.
