Abstract

1,245,505. Road traffic signals on vehicles. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. 30 Oct., 1969 [8 Nov., 1968], No. 53228/69. Heading G4Q. In a motor vehicle signalling system a switch 6 in parallel with the flashing indicator light circuit closes on high pressure braking to produce continuous illumination of the direction flasher lamps 1; and a switch 10 in parallel with the pedal-operated braking light switch 5 closes when the vehicle drive shaft becomes stationary. Closing of the switch 6 operates a relay switch 7 to light the lamps 1 and also operates another relay switch 13 so that on the vehicle coming to rest, all the direction lamps 1 are caused to flash and the braking lamps 4 stay illuminated. Switch 10 may be associated with the speedometer cable.
