Abstract

1,244,603. Doors. F. HILLS & SONS Ltd. 26 Sept., 1968 [18 July, 1967], No. 32851/67. Heading E1J. A flush door capable of remaining stable in varying atmospheric conditions and consisting of, a wooden frame with wooden hinge style 11 and wooden lock style 10, preferably has the lock style 10 reinforced by the attachment thereto by screwing, gluing &c of a mild steel strip 13, apertured at 16 to receive the lock bolt and the hollow space within the frame is filled with a core 14 of low vapour permeable material such as expanded plastics, the spacings 15 comprising at least one vapour barrier layer 17, e.g. of metal such as aluminium foil, between. outer and inner veneers.
