Abstract

1,244,135. Rollers. UNITED STATES STEEL CORP. 29 July, 1969 [8 Aug., 1968], No. 38091/69. Heading F2U. A self-centring roller consists of a centre section secured to the middle portion 4 of a tapered mounting shaft 2, with axially-separated end sections on the shaft ends 8, the sections thus being relatively inclinable. Each section is composed of radial T-sectioned members 32 welded to the shaft portions 4, 8 with the webs. 36 forming the roller supporting surface.
