Abstract

1,225,350. Rollers. H. KRANTZ VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H., [trading as H. KRANZ]. 13 Sept., 1969, No. 45245/69. Heading F2U. A roller for exerting uniform pressure in the treatment of fabrics consists of an outer shell 3 connected to an axial core 1 by a pair of spherical bearings 4, 5 located at about one quarter roller width from each end, the roller 4 being secured between rings 6 clamped to the core, while the bearing 5 is free on the core to allow axial movement of the core in the bearing when the roller is under load. The core has end trunnions 9, 10 with lubricating passages 11, 13 and 12, 14 to the bearings. The outer shell 3 and core 1 are connected by resilient annular dished members 15, 16.
