Abstract
1,243,321. 4 - Aminomethylbicycloheptane carboxylic acid derivatives. MERCK & CO. Inc. 1 Jan., 1970 [13 June, 1969], No. 89/70. Addition to 1,209,799. Heading C2C. Novel compounds of Formula I and alkanoylamino esters and salts thereof wherein X is H 2 or 0 are prepared by reduction of a compound of Formula II wherein Y is H 2 or -O-CH 2 -CH 2 -O followed if necessary by hydrolysis of the ketal groups to give the ketone and optionally followed by alkanoylation or ester or salt formation. Pharmaceutical compositions having antifibrinolytic activity being in conventional forms for oral and parenteral administration comprise an above novel compound or derivative and a carrier therefor.
