Abstract
1,242,236. Electric switch contacts. BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO. Ltd. 3 Feb., 1970 [29 Nov., 1968], No. 56745/68. Heading H1N. In an electric switch a leaf spring contact 1, 5 has an armature 6 co-operating with a fixed magnet 8 arranged between the contact 5 and the actuator 9 whereby initial movement of the actuator 9 towards the contacts open position, flexes the leaf 1 so that pressure at the contacts 5, 7 is progressively increased until the armature 6 is forced to snap away from the magnet 8.
