Abstract

1,240,797. Dwelling houses. F. VANICH. 4 March, 1969 [9 March, 1968], No. 11390/69. Heading E1A. A dwelling house is supported on a single column 1 which in turn is secured to a reinforced concrete pile 2, the column carrying cantilever floor and roof beams 12, 16 respectively constituting the frame of the building. The beams rest on a shoulder provided on the column and are additionally secured thereto by aligned rods embedded in these sections which are interconnected and tensioned by turn buckle joints for which purpose recesses are provided in the beams. The clearance spaces around the rods and reinforcements are filled with grout fed thereto through a distribution system, see Figs. 16 and 17 (not shown). Prefabricated floor, roof and walls may be secured to the beams or cast in position thereto. A series of buildings may be connected to-gether, see Figs. 20, 21, 22 (not shown). The building may be served by a stairway or hydraulic elevator, see Figs. 18 and 19 (not shown). For minor details concerning reinforcements, method of erection, foundations, stressing &c the Specification should be referred to.
