1,135,561. Automatic temperature control Systems. ERNEST SCRAGG & SONS Ltd. March 2, 1966 [March 3, 1965], No.9168/65. Heading G3R. A yarn heater comprises a curved plate of high thermal conductivity and capacity heated by a pair of elements 12, 13 each having a temperature sensitive thermocouple 12a, 13a connected to a solid state switching circuit 14 which connects the elements sequentially to a supply 15 for periods, e.g. 3 secs. each, and which may comprise an amplifier. The circuit 14 has a temperature reference device 16 connected in a bridge circuit. The sensors 12a, 13a may be alternatively pressure transducers and throttles may be substituted for elements 12, 13.
