Abstract
1,133,319. Suction lifting heads; reciprocating conveyers; unpackaging apparatus. MASCHINENFABRIK BENHIL, ELLINGHAUS & HILGERS. 17 Oct., 1967 [17 Oct., 1966], No. 47196/67. Headings B8A, B8C and B8H. Eggs 9, Fig. 1, are lifted from a transit tray 5 and placed in an inclined incubation tray 3 by a suction lifting head 7 which during transit moves adjacent rows of eggs into staggered relation so that when they are in the tray 3 they touch and support each other. To facilitate filling, the trays 3 are reciprocated on guides 22 by chains 23 and empty trays are moved up along guides 24 by chains 25. An arm 21 operates linkages which stagger the rows of eggs during transit. Suction cups 6, Fig. 2, are suspended from bars 10a-10cand when the bars are moved towards each other by a slide 18 with slots 19 the interconnecting links 16 move the bars 10c longitudinally to stagger the cups carried thereon.
