Abstract

1,130,893. Shuttleless looms; measuring weft. WEAVING DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. 4 Oct., 1965 [3 Oct., 1964], No. 40384/64. Heading D1E. Weft extending across the periphery of a pulley 11 between guides 37, 67 is trapped under a finger 18 operated by a striker adjacent the guide 37; it is then wound on the pulley until the finger is disengaged by a striker 41, whereupon it slips endwise off the pulley over an anti-ballooning wire W as the weft inserter takes it into the shed. A clamp 49 is closed at this time by a cam 66.
